Long Bay Lady Angler King Mackerel Tournament
Official Rules:
1– At least 2 people per boat (1 must be a woman) and no more than two males per boat.
2– Check out will be at 7am at Caswell Dock or Lockwood Folly Inlet, until 9am. After 9am check out will be at tournament headquaters.
3-Ladies must bait, rig, grind your own chum and fight the fish. Men may gaff the fish.
4– Except in the event of a crew or boat safety situstion, a male may only catch the bait with a cast net (ladies must do any jigging of bait) talk on the radio, operate the boat and gaff the fish. Any contacts with downriggers, outriggers, or line by a male will consititude disqualification.
5– No congregation of boats without prior permission from tournament headquarters. Channel 68 VHF, cell #
6—In case of a tie in weight, the first fish weighed in is the winner. The weighmaster’s time is official.
7– The only eligible fish is the King Mackeral.
8- No fish under 28” will be accepted. No more than 4 fish per boat may be weighed.
9- All hooks must be removed before off-loading and all fish must be off-loaded at the weigh station. No overland transportation is allowed.
10– Fish with other than gaff marks will be disqualified. No mutilated fish will be accepted.
11-No wake zones must be observed.
12– All boats must be registered or documented and equipped to meet US Coast Guard requirements and abide by all Coast Guard regulations.
13– Tournament headquarters will monitor VHF channel 68.
14-Scales open at 1pm at South Harbor Marina and boats must be in line by 5pm.
15—All protest must be in writing accompanied by a $250.00 deposit no later than 30 minutes after the close of weigh-in. If a protest is upheld the protest fee will be returned.
16-All fish are subject to inspection and or tory meter test. The decision of the inspector is final.
17– Tournament committee reserves the right to postpone or cancel the tournament. Committee decisions are final.
18-Only one primary prize per boat will be awarded.
19– All fish entered become property of the LBLAKMT.
20– In the event the tournament should be cancelled prior to the beginning of competition, all entry fees will be refunded in their entirety within 30 days
